Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef

  • 300g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour or cornstarch (for coating)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)

For the Sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

For the Noodles

  • 200g dried egg noodles or ramen noodles
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the beef: Pat the sliced beef dry with paper towels and coat evenly with the flour or cornstarch. This will help achieve a crispy texture when fried.
  2. Fry the beef: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Fry the coated beef slices in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan, until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Remove and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  3. Cook the noodles: Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and toss with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic. Adjust the taste if necessary, adding more honey for sweetness or soy sauce for saltiness.
  5. Combine and toss: Return the skillet to medium heat, add the fried beef and pour the honey soy sauce over it. Toss quickly to coat the beef evenly in the sauce.
  6. Mix with noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the sauce and the beef is evenly distributed. Heat through for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve: Transfer to serving plates and enjoy your flavorful Honey Soy Crispy Beef & Noodles immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double coat the beef with flour or cornstarch before frying.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli to increase nutrition and add color.
  • Adjust honey and soy sauce quantities to suit your taste preference for sweetness and saltiness.
  • Use high heat to achieve a crispy texture without overcooking the beef.
  • To keep noodles from sticking, toss them with oil right after draining.
