Main Ingredients
- 3 Tablespoons of Butter
- 1 Package of Marshmallows 10 oz. (about 40 regular sized or 4 cups mini marshmallows)
- 5–6 Cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal
For White Chocolate Coating
- 1 Package of white chocolate wafers
- Pink food coloring (optional)
- Melt butter and marshmallows: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat to prevent burning.
- Add cereal: Quickly add 5-6 cups of Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal into the melted marshmallow mixture. Stir well until all the cereal is evenly coated.
- Press mixture into pan: Using a buttered spatula or wax paper to avoid sticking, evenly press the mixture into a 13x9x2 inch pan coated with cooking spray. Allow it to cool and set.
- Cut into hearts: Once cooled and firm, use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut the treats into heart shapes. Place the cut treats onto a plate or tray.
- Melt white chocolate: Place white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted and smooth. If desired, stir in pink food coloring until uniform in color.
- Dip treats: Dip each heart-shaped Rice Crispy treat halfway into the melted white chocolate coating. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
- Set the chocolate: Place the dipped treats onto wax paper and let the chocolate set for about 15 minutes at room temperature or until firm.
- Serve and enjoy: Once the chocolate is set, the treats are ready to enjoy. Perfect for gifting or sharing with loved ones!
