Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 large crusty bread loaf (such as sourdough or French bread)
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup fresh or dried cranberries
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bread: Using a serrated knife, cut the bread loaf into 1-inch thick slices, cutting all the way down but not completely through the bottom, so the loaf remains intact.
  2. Stuff the bread: Carefully pull apart each slice slightly and insert pieces of brie cheese and cranberries into the crevices between the slices.
  3. Butter the bread: Drizzle the melted butter evenly over the top and into the crevices of the bread to enhance flavor and help with melting.
  4. Bake the bread: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the brie is melted and bubbly and the bread is golden and crispy.
  5. Serve warm: Remove from the oven and serve immediately for a warm, gooey appetizer or snack.

Notes

  • Use fresh cranberries for a tart burst or dried cranberries for a sweeter flavor.
  • You can add herbs like rosemary or thyme for added aroma.
  • If you prefer a richer flavor, brush the bread with garlic butter instead of plain melted butter.
  • Serve with a side of honey or jam for a sweet contrast.
  • Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven for optimal gooey texture.
