Ingredients
- 1 cup natural peanut butter
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the natural peanut butter and honey until smooth. Add in the rolled oats and chocolate chips and mix thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Press Into Pan: Transfer the mixture to a lined 8×8 inch pan. Use a spatula or clean hands to press the mixture firmly and evenly into the pan to form a compact layer.
- Chill and Slice: Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the bars to set and firm up. Once chilled, remove from the fridge, lift out the mixture using the liner, and slice into individual bars.
Notes
- Use natural peanut butter with no added sugar or oils for a healthier version.
- Honey can be substituted with maple syrup or agave syrup if vegan alternatives are desired.
- Feel free to add nuts, seeds, or dried fruits to customize your bars.
- Store bars in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
- Pressing the mixture firmly into the pan helps the bars hold together when sliced.
