Ingredients

Scale

Salad Filling

  • 3 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped cooked chicken (grilled, fried, or rotisserie)
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup homemade croutons
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Wraps

  • 4 flour tortillas or wraps (10-inch)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the salad mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, cooked chicken, Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, and homemade croutons. Use tongs to toss the ingredients well so they are evenly coated with the dressing. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Adjust the amount of dressing as needed for your preference and set the mixture aside.
  2. Warm the tortillas: Heat a large pan over medium heat and warm each flour tortilla for 15 to 30 seconds per side until they are soft and pliable. Keep them warm by placing them on a plate covered with a kitchen towel. Alternatively, you can warm the tortillas in the microwave between paper towels for 15 to 30 seconds.
  3. Assemble the wraps: Lay each warm tortilla flat on a clean surface. Divide the prepared Caesar salad mixture evenly among the tortillas, placing it in the center. Fold in the opposite sides of each tortilla and then roll them up burrito-style to enclose the filling. Use a toothpick to secure the wraps if needed. You can cut them in half or serve them whole immediately.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for a quick shortcut or grill fresh chicken for enhanced flavor.
  • For a lighter option, substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or low-carb wraps.
  • Store leftover salad and wraps separately to avoid sogginess and assemble just before serving.
  • Homemade croutons can be made by toasting cubed bread with olive oil, garlic, and herbs.
  • To keep the wraps warm longer, wrap them in foil and place in a low oven (around 200°F) until ready to serve.
